Step into the dark side of La Crosse, where history meets mystery!
At our RAH 'meeting,' in early October, we were captivated by the incredible Kelli Krieg-Sigman, a.k.a. Ms. Frankie La Salle—the unforgettable former owner of the largest brothel in town. She led us on a spine-tingling tour through the historic red-light district, sharing chilling true crime tales of murders, brothels, and ghostly hauntings from La Crosse's origins in the mid-1800s.
Our adventure wrapped up with a beer tasting at Bodega Brew Pub, Inc., where Frankie dispelled some ghostly rumors, followed by good times and delicious eats at Big Al's Pizza.
A big thank you to Kelly and the La Crosse Public Library's archive department for bringing our city's rich history to life through the Dark La Crosse presentations. If you haven't experienced this captivating tour yet, be sure to check it out next summer at https://explorelacrosse.com/event/trolley-tours-2-2/.
Here’s to the magic of La Crosse, storytelling, and a sprinkle of intrigue!
