About Us
Rotary After Hours is a group of enthusiastic, young leaders living out the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self." We innovate through service, collaboration and action. Our members are dreamers and doers who passionately drive projects to develop our youth, our community and our world.
We are part of Rotary International, a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary's people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end. For more information, visit www.rotary.org.
The "4-Way Test" has become an important fixture in Rotary- guiding Rotarians in their personal lives as well as in their professional lives.
It asks the following four questions: "Of the things we think, say or do:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"
While many networking and social groups exist in La Crosse, few offer the opportunity to form as deep a connection with peers and make as lasting of an impact as Rotary. From fundraising, planning, and coordinating the construction of classrooms in Uganda or a greenhouse for Northside Elementary School to building beds for local children in need, we bring together leaders to share ideas and take action.
We work hard but also have fun. In addition to monthly service activities and meetings, Rotary After Hours hosts multiple social events each month, allowing members to get together and develop deeper connections and life-long friendships.
If you’re looking to roll up your sleeves and make meaningful change in our community and the world, we hope you’ll join us!
