Help us take a bite out of hunger! 12 Members of RAH are need to join our packing team at iFeed 2019.

WHAT is iFeed? A one-day event where Interact Clubs work to alleviate hunger in the world AND in our own communities.
HOW will iFeed do this? PART 1 of the event will pack 100,000 highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified soy-rice meals that will be shipped to Nicaragua via the Kids Against Hunger organization. 36 teams (450+ volunteers) will pack for about 6 total hours. PART 2 is a MEGA food drive spanning the Coulee Region and beyond. Interact needs the community to join in and be a part of iFeed in Part 2.
WHO is putting on iFeed? Seven area Interact Clubs - including Aquinas, Caledonia, Central, Holmen, Logan, Onalaska and West Salem High Schools. What is Interact? It’s Rotary for high schoolers. It’s mission is the same as Rotary: Service Above Self.
WHEN & WHERE is iFeed? Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Logan High School, La Crosse, Wis, 8am to Noon.
Why should you get involved in iFeed? Because the need is so great. Hunger is a real issue—in foreign countries AND in our own back yards. Children would go without food if it weren’t for the food packs sent by organizations such as Kids Against Hunger. These meals are prepared in schools so the children are fed, and also receive a basic education. Locally, the need for food is a constant challenge. Non-perishable food items collected during iFeed will be donated to the Hunger Task Force (the tri-state area’s major food pantry supplier) and other community pantries who are participating in iFeed outside of the La Crosse Area. iFeed truly will benefit every area food pantry.

Rotary Afters will pack during the 10am shift. You are asked to arrive between 9:15 and no later than 9:30am to Logan High School.

1. Please arrive on time - if not early. Your shift times are on the top of this sheet in bold. Ask your team member to also be on time. Remember over 125 people are packing at the same time as your team is packing. ONLY THE CAPTAINS NEED TO CHECK IN.

2. You’ll be greeted in the lobby by your Ambassador holding a sign with your team’s name and number on it. Your ambassador will take you to the Weiss Theater off of the lobby where, as teams we’ll be instructing you on packing the dried meals. We will begin the instructional videos at 9:30am. All team members need to be present for this!

3. Your Ambassadors will be your guide for the morning. Each team packs approximately 10 cases of 36 bags. While your team is packing, student judges will be scoring you on your Team Competition categories. Get fired up, have a good time, enjoy the music, participate in the milestone celebrations and in your Team Cheer!

Team photos - After your team is done packing, please stay together with your ambassador and head toward the Commons Area for you team photos. These are meant to be fun! We want to make sure that every team gets their group picture taken.

Volunteer lunch - You’ve worked hard, so we want to allow your team to have a light lunch together and talk about your experience. Your ambassadors will offer some thoughtful questions or talking points for your team to reflect on just after you have packed. Also, experience a few team building activities.

After lunch, you’re free to go - or stay and volunteer in another area. We’ll be gathering for a HUGE group photo in front of the “Wall of Food” as soon as the last packing teams are done around 12:30pm.
