The effort to make this year's event a success is off and running, but we need your help!
If you've already signed up to volunteer and/or race, thank you! If not, there's still time to get involved with this year's Ugly Sweater 5K.

From Ashley Santolin, US5K Committee Chair:

"We still need a few more volunteers to help on race day - Riverside Course Marshals and for the Shuttle. Course Marshals will make sure that racers stay on course and everyone stays safe. Shuttle volunteers will ride on the shuttle and/or stay at the shuttle stop to ensure everything goes smoothly. We encourage you to have family, friends, or co-workers volunteer with you: https://ugly5k.eventbrite.com.

We are also looking for four generators. Generators are used to power lights along the trail. If you have a generator, or access to a generator, that we could borrow for the event next Saturday, please contact Dan Benjamin, Keith Lease and/or Ashley Santolin."

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Money raised from the US5K goes to support service projects both home and abroad. Recently, we've partnered with the Outdoor Recreation Alliance and La Crosse Parks & Rec among other organizations to help maintain and improve the Upper Hixon Forest and Zoerb Prairie areas. We're also in the midst of supporting a project to provide clean water to people in Valladolid, Mexico as well as supporting cancer screenings for women in Nicaragua.

Whether it's a gift of your time or talent, consider signing up for the Ugly Sweater 5K today!
