DESCRIPTION:We're excited to reconnect with Gear Up\, one of our past Shark
Tank partners\, to support the students they're working with this year. G
ear Up is a local\, non-profit that helps first generation students with f
inancial need prepare for and succeed in their transition to college. Join
us at Java Vino @ 6pm on Oct. 22nd\, as we assemble care packages and wri
te encouraging notes for Gear Up students who are beginning the second hal
f of their first semester of college. A few words of support can make a me
aningful difference as they navigate this important milestone. Gear Up wil
l provide all care package items and shipping materials. This is a family-
friendly event\, so bring the whole family and lend a hand. While you're t
here\, enjoy dinner\, connect with Gear Up and fellow Rotarians\, and help
send some encouragement to local students working toward their goals!
